Hello! I'm making my first trip to QC just after Christmas, and I've been reading up on the boards to get (my stomach/tastebuds) ready. What I haven't seen a lot of are mentions of any food that QC, or Quebec on the whole, is particularly known for or has a special tradition around, such as Montreal and their bagels. I'm from Maine, so I know that some French Canadian traditions, such as tourtiere and poutine are likely candidates... but would hate to miss anything else out there!
Are there any particular dishes or ingredients that I must have while in QC? And where should I find them? We're looking especially for moderately priced places- we tend to graze all day, through coffee shops, bakeries, etc.
