My wife and I are celebrating our twentieth anniversary in Quebec City and will be based on Rue Sainte Anne in the heart of Old Quebec.
My wife likes lobster and I wondered, since Quebec is near Maine, is llobster readily avaiable in the restaurants? In July? Affordable? We are only there for three nights so I hope to feed her lobster craving one night.
Another night I would like to go to a superior French restaurant. I see Laurie Raphael mentioned frequently as a can't miss evening. Can we go there in Khakis and a short sleeve shirt (with collar)? I really don't want to carry a suit.
I've never had foie gras (or anything made with truffles for that matter). I suppose it is very common at the better establishments. Any other suggestions for such fare?
