Four of us ate at Quartino Saturday night. Overall, the feeling was very disappointed. The room was nice, and the garden looked very cute. Started off with the focaccia which was really bad. It was plate size, very doughy, and topped with what I believe to be some kind of cheese, but had the consistency of cream, and tasteless. This was left mostly uneaten by four very hungry people. Next off, each of us ordered salads, which were the best part of the meal. Very fresh and reasonable sized. We all ordered pastas as our main course. Two spinach pesto fusilli (tasteless and skimpy on the sauce, although recommended by our server), one pasta with avocado and tomato, which was pretty bland, and a vegetable ravioli which was fine. Ordered desserts, nothing special, and a bottle of wine. Our server was very sweet, but somewhat absent-minded. Including tip, our bill was about $180. Not a good value, and we won't be returning. It's too bad, because I've been to the other location which I remember liking very much.
