Lisa Antinore | Jan 1, 199811:31 AM 4

Luck is of the essence, so put those red undies on, eat a big bowl of Hoppin' John with Red Rice and give a great, big New Year's kiss and hug to someone you love....

Happy New Year and Happy Eating!!!!

Let's all try to organize a culinary adventure sometime in the next couple of months...What do you think???

    Happy New Year !
Like your idea of a get together. I wonder why the
Alpha Dog wants to stay anonymous. Something like that
might make good fodder for a journalistic project.
Anyway, going to check out The Rio Grill ( 271-11 Union
Tpke ) on Sunday with the whole family for Mrs. K's
BDay. A fellow chowhound from work tells me that
because it is fairly quaint compared to Master Grill or
Greenfields, the meat arrives quicker and therefore a
    little warmer and juicier.
Passed by Corona Park tonight and saw that they
expanded next door with a Pizzeria ( The awning says
" The Godfather of Sicilian Pizza " ) See ya

I saw them interviewing Gael Greene the other day on TV
and she had her hat pulled down over her face so that
all you could see was her chin. I understand your need
for anonymity when it comes to your work, but all we're
talkin' about is getting together for dinner somewhere
to get to know each other on a more personal level.
This would be a strictly recreational, gastronomical
outing for the regulars to co-mingle. C'mon, think
about it. Now, my choice for a spot to meet would be
somewhere in Flushing like Joe's Shanghai, a true
        temple to chowhoundom.
        Regards, JK
