Last night, I was making a curry that called for pureeing a relatively small amount of serrano chiles, oil & cilantro. I put the ingredients into my blender and what-do-you-know the blades just spun around and didn't seem to puree, more like moving things around slightly....maybe chopping up a bit more. Turing it off and scraping down the sides didn't help much.
I don't have a food processor. (Would it be better in this situation?)
Should I have used my mortar & pestle? (I was afraid I wouldn't be able to get the spicyness off)
