Pulling Mussels From A Shell @ Ginger and Lemongrass

Stopped by Ginger and Lemongrass last night and since it is Lent we ordered Green Curry w/Mussels and a Crispy Panko Lime Cod Banh Mi. The mussels were the best I've had in a long, long time. Big and juicy in a fragrant, just right heat wise bowl of green curry. According to the owner, they use Whitewater (BigOne) mussels farmed in Narragansett Bay. I may go back tonight to get another bowl full...... The sandwich was also delicious. Probably 1-1/2 times the size of a banh mi you get at JoJu with a sizable piece of fresh, delicious cod. The couple next to us were both enjoying a huge bowl of beef pho with the optional roasted marrow bone. It looked amazing and they confirmed it was... It's a fairly small space with about 11 tables and each one was filled at 7PM on a Friday night. Can't wait to go back. Great addition to a somewhat mundane dining scene in Whitestone. Regards, JK
