Pulled Pork from boneless shoulder roast

I was unable to find a pork shoulder at 2 different grocery stores, so I purchased a 4 1/2 pound boneless pork shoulder instead. I intend to put this in a slow cooker to make shredded pulled pork. The roast has a netting around it (to hold it together). I have seasoned it, and was going to start it tonight on low in the cooker. Question is, how long should this take? Or, should I start it tomorrow morning (for dinner tomorrow)?
I guess I will remove it from the cooker when it is done, let it cool a bit, and then cut off the mesh netting. Then I will shred it and return to the cooker.
Has anyone else done this before using this cut of pork?
