We are hosting a bbq on Saturday afternoon. The head count is way more than expected. I'm a seasoned home chef and won't have any issues seasoning or cooking the pork shoulder but I do have some questions as I don't have a ton of experience cooking this, or bbqing for 50 people. I am thinking 40lbs due to such a large loss from cooking. We have two crockpots so was thinking two 8 hour batches 10 lbs per crockpot. Too much per "batch"? Could I then finish them on the grill with some wood chips or would that just add a lot of extra work for not much difference. It is Wednesday evening now... was going to start tomorrow cooking. Also would all that pulled pork fit in two crockpots to serve once cooked and shredded? Help!
