Why did my puff pastry tops collapse in the middle while baking?

My first attempt at baking puff pastry tops for chicken pot pie failed somewhat. After baking, it looked right and tasted ok, but it sagged and collapsed in the middle of the ramekin.

Does the sagging/collapsed center mean that I used too much butter?
