I have heard that your book is out and you have given "The Inn at Little Washington" three stars out of four.
I sincerely commend you for taking the initiative to tackle icons like The Inn, Kinkead's and, yes, Four and Twenty Blackbirds which I disagreed with. I also apologize for any critical thoughts that I may have expressed. Tom, you've redeemed yourself! I also really believe that this type of criticism will benefit all of us since Kinkead and O'Connell may go back into their kitchens again and tap some of the creativity that I think they've set aside for a while. At the James Beard dinner at Maestro O'Connell's lobster surpassed anything thatI've had at The Inn in my four visits over the years. I know that he is more than capable of absolutely exquisite food. That night it was just proof of how good he can be, perhaps how good he was. Four and Twenty Blackbirds may also be resting, somewhat. In fact, more than likely, it is as good of a restaurant TODAY as it ever was because of your rating.
