Providence Restaurant week Jan 11-24

nzgrrl | Dec 5, 201402:03 PM     8

Hello RI CHs. Not sure if it's too soon to post about this, but here goes. I am moving to Providence very shortly and have been lurking and reading up all your posts in the past few months. I just found out that the winter restaurant month will be on in mid January and I'm excited to try out some of the great restaurants I've been hearing about. But, of course, budget and waistline concerns will keep me from getting to more than a handful in the two week period! So I was just wondering if anyone has any recommendations - say your top 5 picks of the participants that might give me a good beginning sampler of what Providence has to offer? I will probably be able to do either lunch or dinner, but at dinner times might have a 13 year old with me, who has, well, 13-year-old food tastes. I'm also not a hard-core foodie, but definitely someone who is interested enough in great food to lurk on a CH boards for many years, and I've often used them for food advice when travelling. So any and all suggestions gratefully received. TIA! Here is link to the list of restaurants http://www.goprovidence.com/RW/
