This past Sunday the family needed to get out of the house and we decided to take our little master to Marbles. I was already looking out for places nearby that may be suitable for us to eat. It wasn't so much based on my preference or my son's so much as my wife. She check out menus for Brewery Bhavana, Remedy, Sitti and maybe one other and couldn't find something she liked and so I made the decision to give Provenance a try and she agreed with the menu we saw online. It was pleasant out and the restaurant wasn't crowded at all and was not overly cold with the A/C on.
We got a nice window seat and my son enjoyed watching people walk by and more importantly the buses rolling out of the station every few minutes. He had a burger which was about the size of his head and had hoop cheddar, bacon and an over medium egg, my wife had a good sized salad with what looked to be a sous vide egg and chicken and I had a pork belly hash. Though it wasn't really what I thought of when I thought hash. It was 5-6 good chunks of pork belly in a broth with sweet corn and some other items but it was more soupy than not and so I ordered two good sized (and tasty) biscuits to go with.
All in all it was a really good meal though next time based on looks a long I'll get the french toast. I think I had heard that the chef had since left to go maybe to Standard Food but for now at least we have another good option in that area. I had looked over Royale but don't know much about it.
