props to Davis Street Fish Market

I have to post because the good folks at Davis Street Fishmarket in Evanston are doing such a nice thing for our cousin Jerry (he's not really a cousin, but I don't know the shorthand for "guy who introduced your husband's parents").

Anyway, Jerry has been in the hospital since December 19. He spent the first 11 days in Intensive Care, and is coming home today. For his first non-hospital meal (although he likes the food at Rush North Shore) he wanted the "Two Sisters" stew that they make for lunch at Davis Street. But he is on a very salt-restricted diet, and few restaurants cook for that.

His wife, Joan, called Davis Street, and they said they would make up a special batch just for him, if she'd get them some no-salt chicken soup base (powdered chicken soup base is the secret ingredient in quite a few restaurant favorites, apparently). They are making it for us to pick up at dinner, and they NEVER serve Two Sisters at dinner.

Just wanted to share :)
