We purchased a gas stove and had it converted to propane, as NG is not available in our area.
This was done by a professional.
Since using the propane range, we are unabale to simmer. The burners get too hot on the lowest setting of any of the burners. We've had our propane supplier check it out and he says to make sure we use the proper burner with the lowest BU rating. Well, I know that... I've had a gas range before...
I can't imagine cooking without being able to simmer. I made spaghetti on the weekend, put the pot on low, and had to turn it off after about 30 min. because it was bubbling. I use stainless steel pots, but I've also used other types of metal - and it is always the same. I can't simmer anything - it starts to bubble.
I don't know what to do. Should I be calling in another expert to look at the problem?
If you have any suggestions, I would be grateful!
