"Project Fish," Richmond Hill - Impressive and excellent first impression!

Following ex-chowhounder skylineR33's footstep, I finally managed to give this popular, hidden neighborhood gem a try. However, I avoided visiting it on a busy weekend but instead, picked a late lunch on a quieter mid-day for our initiation.

The bright, cozy and contemporary place is run by Japanese practicing a modern and fusion approach to Japanese food with Aburi sushi being one of its forte.

Told before hand by satisfied friends/patrons to give their unique and superb value luncheon specials a try. That was our action plan and the result was a most enjoyable dining experience.

The Bento boxes we ordered offered 4-5 different delectable side dishes, all beautifully presented and garnished, plus a main component of either an array of Aburi sushi or a platter of varied and ultra-fresh sashimi pieces. The cooked dishes were surprisingly delicious with the huge grease-less, Chili-aioli & Balsamic infused, crunchy fried prawns the hands down winner. Center piece of Tuna/Avocado Maki-rolls covered with a cream of tomato, sweet corn dressing was uniquely distinct and delectable.

At $18-20 per Bento box, IMHO, it was a steal for such splendid food!
