Not being the MySpace or Friendster type, I was a little taken aback by the Profile box. Started to do it, then stopped and thought about it. Hmmm, is this more ammunition for those who take a dislike to something I post? Do I really wanna be cyber-stalked because some looney Hound noticed I like a certain restaurant and thinks we are destined to be soulmates? Maybe I'm just too old and don't understand this overarching need to create a web of e-friends that I'll probably never meet. Hell, when talking to people at work about Chowhound I don't even give away my tag for fear of future reprisals.
However, now that I've expressed my probably baseless concerns, let me try to get into the spirit of the thing and suggest some other questions to really flesh out the profiles. Most come from previous threads.
Favorite Food Movie?
Favorite Food TV show?
Music you would actually enjoy hearing in a restaurant?
Favorite Song about Food?
Childhood treat you haven't given up?
What does everyone else think? More profile info or scrap the whole thing? I'm conflicted.
