For over 20 years, I've served a Prime Rib roast for Christmas Dinner. I live in Wall, and originally, we bought our roast from a place in Bay Head that is no longer in business. We've purchased from two different butchers in Spring Lake,and were satisfied for many years, until about 4 years ago. Then we went to Wegmans and to our local A&P. This year, I was very satisfied with our A&P roast, but my husband claims that he remembers previous beef that was more tender.We used to pay a whole lot more. I suggested a taste test. Does anyone have a butcher that they can suggest, so that we can compare (not on an important holiday) and see if we truly are missing out? I want to cook two different roasts on the same day, and see if we really know what we're talking about.
