Prime Rib @ 170 degrees

gags2222 | Dec 19, 2016 11:19 AM

I'm having trouble finding info online on how long to roast a prime rib at my oven's lowest setting, which is 170. I'll start with a high heat sear at 450 for 20 minutes, then remove the roast and let the oven temp drop to 170. I have to plan dinner to be ready at a certain time, so need an idea of minutes per pound. And don't worry - I'll of course use an instant read!
