Over Pricing on Specials: Porcini

Arggh. Why do they do it? O. K., so my husband didn't ask the cost of the chicken "special". Which turned out to be quite similar to the chicken "regular" entree--except that the "special" was priced at $18.95, compared to $13.50 for the "regular". Sure, they made an extra $5.45 from the unwary, once. But, it left me feeling I didn't want to come back ever.

With that said, my linguini and assorted seafood was tasty and ample, very fairly priced at $15.50 for homemade noodles (yum) and tasty shellfish/squid. Desserts also very tasty for $5--but kinda small. I had fresh strawberries in a lovely sauce; hubby's Tiramsu was right on, but again, too small for the price.

Service was lovely. I guess I didn't do the owner/chef any favor not to comment about the pricing stunt on their specials while I was there.
