Best reasonably priced restaurant in Bethesda to take inlaws to? (Rock Creek, Haandi, Raku type pricing...)

We inevitably make plans to take out my in laws every other month or so, and 5 times in a row we have made plans for Zaytinya but each time, a day or 2 before they said "Oh, it's too far, the parking's too tough, we'd just prefer to eat closer to our home in Potomac". Arghhhhhh! We've given up on Zaytinya or Zolas or Black Salt or trying to take them anywhere downtown! We've even offered 4 times to take them to Pasta Plus (one of our favorites, in Laurel), and we'd pick them up and TAKE THEM THERE! Each time we tried they they pooped out and said it was "too farrrrr". I hope I never get "that old".

Anyway, I digressed. So, back to Bethesda: we've taken them to Haandi, they LOVED Raku and Green Papaya, Jaleo (some hit or miss dishes, though), Levante - decent, Positano's (were bummed this Mother's day when we took them there and they foisted a $30 p/p special mother's day menu on us when all we wanted was ala carte dining - screw us for not calling in advance and asking!), and some various other spots.

WE (with out them, just my wife and I) went to Centro (really liked it, but it CAN be expensive as they're huge fish eaters), Rock Creek (LOVED IT! Don't know why others here didn't?), Cafe DeLuxe (we're actually taking them there this weekend for the 1st time at 5pm so the wait isn't so bad), and Thyme Square (hit or miss entrees, haven't been in years).

Am I forgetting any great spots to take these fish eating in laws of mine? A place like Cesco on Cordell is a bit expensive for us. We have taken them to McCormick and Schmidts (for Thanksgiving this year but it's not that thrilling to want to rush back for). La Miche is a bit too expensive too for us. We go for lunch, but dinner is kind of high to take them too. We also took them to Olazzo and it was yummy and reasonable, but we're looking for something different :o) Ethnic, Italian, we're game for anything as long as they can get some fish.

Thanks in advance,
Steve R Silver Spring
