Reasonably priced, local favorites for group dinner?

Sarah | Dec 20, 200008:14 AM

Hi all,

I'm looking for a recommendation for a restaurant that could accomodate a group of about fifteen to twenty people on a Friday night (reservation assumed) that would give a group of travellers from all over the US a good taste of Montreal cuisine and have a festive ambiance. Someplace located either in the Vieux Port or near the train station would be fabulous, but I'm open to other suggestions.

Also, does anyone know the name of a fairly traditional bistro at the bottom left corner(if you were standing at the top looking down) of Jacques Cartier? I had a great lunch of mussels there a few years ago and have forgotten the name.

Thanks for your help!
