president thai II for pasadena lunch crowd

discovered that president thai (at the rosemead and del mar intersection) has a new branch at colorado and mentor. it's upstairs above the subway sandwiches.

the place is pretty crowded since it's a caltech staple, so even though they opened up only recently, they're taking all the thai business from taste of bangkok.

4.99 for lunch special. they've a few choices, we tried the chicken and basil, the pork and garlic, and the savory vegetables. the pork and garlic's ok, the rest i wouldn't recommend. the main menu's better.

don't drive from outside of pasadena for it. it's another local lunch option if you're tired of the usual.

it has pretty menus.
