Preserved Duck Egg?

Rubinsky | Dec 22, 2003 02:37 PM

Does anybody have a credible source for exactly how these things are made? Also known as:
"1000 Year Old Egg" (of course they're not)
"Salted Duck Egg" (got to be more than salt)

I've read about ammonia being used, but I'm curious to know more. A website URL would be appreciated.

Thanks!
