Preparing Pot Pie

arielleeve | Dec 24, 201011:24 AM

I'm making a veggie pot pie for Christmas day tomorrow. I want to make as much of it today as possible. I was thinking I would prepare the whole thing today, put it in the fridge, and then just put it in the oven tomorrow. I'm wondering if it is best to do this with the crust on top (puff pastry), or to just prepare the filling and then put the puff pastry on the top before baking? I suppose I could also bake the whole thing tonight and reheat tomorrow, but I figured it'd be fresher if baked just before eating.
