Pre-theatre menu?

Okay, now I'm just trying to cram as many restaurant experiences into the few days we're going to be in NY.

We're going to the theatre Monday night (in June, not that it matters I suppose). Who has the absolute best pre-theatre menu? I'm thinking about Aquavit for one, and does DB Bistro Moderne have one? I'm still rather fuzzy on the promixity of restaurants to the theatre district so I'm having a rather hard time, plus most restaurant menus don't seem to say if they offer a pre-theatre menu. I want the best food possible, but I don't want to be chowing it down, checking my watch every 5 minutes, and wondering if we're going to miss curtain time. I realize we don't *have* to go to a place with a pre-theater menu, but I also don't want to tell a poor waiter that we can't linger either!

Thanks in advance from a rather confused San Franciscan!
