Need Pre- and Post- theater recommendations; also good, quick lunches

I'm heading up to NYC with two girlfriends for a weekend of shopping and shows. Two of us are very flexible as to type of cuisine and simply like good food, however, the third is more of a dining challenge. She is very "meat and potatoes", likes her meat cooked well done, and doesn't like a lot of ingredients she doesn't recognize.

We have tickets for a Saturday night show, so we're interested in a pre-theater dinner in the theater district, with total cost at $30-$60/person. (and post-theater drinks?)

We also have tickets for a Sunday matinee show, so we're interested in dinner at someplace interesting, where we can linger and re-live our weekend away from the kids, with total cost at $30-$60/person. We're staying in the 90s, but are open to location.

I've seen and been given great recommendations for Town, Lupa, Asia de Cuba. Do any of those fit my situations above?

Finally, we're looking for casual, quick (gotta maximize shopping time)lunch spots, say in SoHo, Chelsea, or the Village. I've read over this board and seen suggestions for Katz for deli, Lombardi's for pizza, Benny's Burritos, Manhattan Heroes. Anything else?

Thanks for reading all this. My mother-in-law frequently sends me recommendations from Chowhounds (hi Rita if you see this!)
