Pre-marathon meal and other decisions

I'll be in N.O. between 2/23 and 3/1, to run a nice slow marathon and eat very well for a few days. I will be traveling with my Husband and my 3 1/2 y.o. and 6-month old boys, and staying in the Faubourg Marigny.
My only rock-solid plan is for an early dinner at Brigtsen's on Friday (I'm so exited!). And I want to have lunch at Uglesich's on Monday. In general,I'm looking for casual, cheap, non-touristy, and o.k. for kids.
One day, I want to go over to the zoo and have lunch either at Domilise's or Dunbar's. Any thoughts on which would be better? Also please weigh in on Liuzza's vs. Liuzza's BTT. I was hoping for a dinner at one of those, how are their gumbos?
The night before the marathon, I want to eat near where we're staying and have a non-heavy, somewhat healthy meal. What's the story on 13, I can't find much info about it. Did it used to be called "Old Dog, New Trick?" How about Wasabi?, sushi might be good too. I'm open to any suggestions as to the kind of meal I have in mind anywhere in that locale.
Finally, any suggestions for a great place to have celebretory champagne and snacks on Sunday night?
