Pradeep's MDR (review)

Just Larry | May 19, 2003 11:15 PM

Went to Pradeep's for lunch the Saturday that it opened. Ordered the Potato Fritter app. and a bowl of Eggplant Soup. Both were good and about $5.00 each. Wife ordered the Veggie Thali, about $10.00. Also good. A scoop of Mango Kulfi and Pistachio Kulfi for dessert, %4.00. Tea and coffe and tip...$35.00. They are going to have a hard time making it in the Marina. Shershaw has a huge, diverse, tasty buffet for $23.00 out the door for 2. Taste of India has a more limited but tasty buffet for $20.00 out the door. Portions at Pradeep's were miniscule and I am far from a big eater. They do not have a lunch menu so you pay dinner prices at lunch. I think the prices are a bit more realistic at dinner. My other beef is that you only have Chicken options on the Thali combo. If you want Lamb or Beef you have to go a la carte. You might want to check it out if you are feeling a bit flush. The food that they are offering, in some cases is not available at other Indian Restaurants (sorta like Bombay Bistro).
