Pozole That is Really Worth Searching Out

opinionatedchef | Nov 3, 200903:52 PM     4

I have always been disappointed in the pozoles I have had in Boston. Turns out that they have been made like they are in Mexico City, with a chicken broth base that is pretty darn bland. Well, Cielito Lindo in Beverly serves a killer pozole - from Veracuz. I knew immediately when I saw it that THIS was the pozole for which I had been searching. The operative word here is Brown. Rich brown beef stock with complex flavors of chiles, tomato, onion , spices, with chunks of beef and the large chewy kernels of corn. Definitely worth the drive.
While you're there, try their dense rich coconut flan (but have them hold the thick sweet raspberry sauce!)
