Power Pressure Cooker XL help

anniam | Dec 15, 201807:30 AM 2
Pressure Cooking

I've had a Power Pressure cooker xl for a year and I haven't used it. There are all kinds of recipes and blogs for the Instant Pot but not much for the PPC. Is there something out there that converts IP recipes for the PPC? I got it from QVC and the booklet it came with isn't very helpful to me. I would appreciate any help. Thanks.

What is there to convert? These electric PCs are basically the same in function and probably manufacturer. Pot roast? Salt and pepper 3 lb. chuck. Brown by searing all sides in a couple table spoons of oil. Add liquid/beef broth, carrots, an onion quartered, some small whole baby potatoes, set high pressure for 50 minutes. Turn off machine after time elapsed. Manually release pressure. If meat not done well enough, pull spuds and carrots and bring to pressure for another 10/15 minutes. Release pressure, make gravy, enjoy.

Same recipe I use in the IP as well as a stove top PC.

I use stove top pressure cookers and use IP recipes all the time as inspiration.
