Poutine -- oh sweet Poutine

Tugboat24 | Nov 3, 2003 11:40 PM

Today at work I was totally distracted by thoughts of loco moco. A homestyle Hawaiian concoction that until now I thought most resembled the "bandera" plate at a Columbian restaurant. But today I met Poutine -- the Franco fast food variation of "loco moco" -- its a hot stacked bowl of frites, with chunks of chedder cheese -- chunks folks -- I couldnt even tell it was cheese b/c I kept looking for shredded orange particles .. and topped with rich chicken gravy (substitute curry, substitute italian meat sauce -- chili -- the possiblities are endless).

I added in the regular frites sauce and ketchup and raw onions to the mix -- for the vitamins and nutrients in fat and 'veggies.' Anyway, today was a good day b/c I discovered Poutine -- while its not quiet loco moco ... nor is it the true gluttony of a "bandera" its a delicious bowl meal in its own right.

Place Tried: Pommes Frites -- 2nd Ave & you know where
Cost: Large = 4.25 ... small... dunno had the L
Result: Delicious
