How many pounds of homemade pasta for this holiday party?

For a 11-person party where we have plenty of "main course" food but tend to eat much of it standing up, one attendee is making a "first course" of homemade fettuccine in a tomato sauce. The intent is for it to be a small serving, because it will be followed by lots of other food. He's never made pasta for so many people before, and asked me how much to make - 2 lbs? Other? What do you think?
