We are going to some friends for New Year's Eve and they are grilling steaks for dinner. They are also making butternut squash. I was thinking of bringing a potato gratin, but I have never made one before.
Can I make it in advance and re-heat it? I am working on New Years Eve day and won't be home until around 3. We go to our friends house early, like around 5, since we all have small kids. I was thinking that I could make it the day before, take it out when I got home so it's not so cold when I bring it their house and then heat in the oven,
Would that work or does a potato gratin not turn out well when re-heated?
