If anyone remembers the chips from Las Palmas Mexicatessen, these have that similar homemade feeling, but they are the anti-Mexicatessen: very thin, though a little greasy. The first one or two didn't do much for me, but then the mixture of rosemary and other spices reached critical mass in my mouth and I began to really enjoy them. The woman behind the counter said they have been selling the chips for a few weeks, and that they are making them at the Marina location (Marinette). $1.50 per bag. They have the Bay Bread label on them, so they may be available in other corners of the Bay Bread empire.
Also not to be missed at the Boulangerie de Polk counter is the granola ($3 or $3.50/bag, I forget), the best I have ever tasted.
