Need some ideas for a place for a small group to gather after a funeral and then the next day after Mass. Probably about six to eight people.
Visits to the funeral home will end Sunday night at about 4 pm. The funeral home is on Market between 15th and 16th, although we could travel, it would be nice to get a place in the area. This is more of the Olive Garden crowd. I was thinking Home might work since it had not too fancy food, however I've never tried it. Also considered Pauline's Pizza, as this is more of a casual gatering. Want a place that's comfortable and not snooty. I was also considering Paisly, but haven't been there yet, either.
Also, the mass is at 10 am on Monday near twin peaks. Any ideas for places in the area there?
Good things to order at any of the suggested places would be appreciated as well.
I want to thank all the hounds who sent me e-mails with good thoughts while my mom was hospitalized. Felecia died yesterday morning at Laguna Honda Hospital. We had to fight to get her back in after doctors had tried to dump her. Instead of spending time by her side in her last week, I was on the phone to lawyers and social service agencies trying to get her back in.
She returned Thursday afternoon and the look on her face was one of relief and happiness that she was back at a familiar place amoung the people who she knew for 11 years. She died peacefully early Friday morning. I think she just wanted to go "home".
Felecia was basically a mother, wife and homemaker. However, she was the best at her job. When she was born someone suggested calling her Felecia because it means happiness. She lived up to her name, giving everyone around her, espicially me, many years of joy.
