Portland for One Night - First-time visitors from LA

alliebear | Dec 15, 201402:39 PM     4

Hi everyone. My fiance and I are visiting Portland for the first time, only driving through and staying one night. I have heard what an amazing food scene your city has and I'm hoping you can help me narrow down choices.

For now, we are only looking for dinner options on a Monday night. We may be getting in close to 9pm, so looking for somewhere to have a late dinner. We are staying in downtown, but I want to see another part of the city if possible. Looking for somewhere mid-priced with some atmosphere.

I really want to go to one of your amazing microbreweries too. Are they open late? Is this something we can do after dinner or should we look to go somewhere to drink beer and also eat? Any place to sample beer that also has great food?

Tuesday morning, we plan to grab donuts at Blue Star Donuts and have breakfast at Mother's Bistro. How do those two sound?

I appreciate any help you can offer.
