Thanks for the suggestions. Here is a list of our experience for the little time we had.
Looking for seafood Friday night, being Good Friday and all. Recepionist recomended the Seafood Grill about a block away. Place looked nice, but it was packed and the hostess wouldn't even give us an estimated time. Must be mostly reservations. We decided on beer and apps from Ri Ra across the street. We ordered a Murphey's and a Guinness and an order of the spinach and artichoke dip. The bread they served with this was great and the dip was very cheesey...we were happy. Next we just ordered two bowls of haddock chowder since we were not overly hungry. This stuff was awful. Extremely soupy and zero flavor. I tend to like thicker chowder, but I can deal with the soupy stuff as long as it has some taste to it. We told the waitress she could take it away since we didnt want to eat it. She took it off the bill which was great. We then split some fish and chips which were much better. The waitress got a nice tip for taking care of us.
We then headed to the Wine Bar on Wharf st. We just had a glass of wine and relaxed for a bit, but the small menu looked interesting. I would probably drop in for a bite next time.
Saturday we hit up Scales for lunch since it has been discussed here a few times. Very good fry up. Great taste without being greesy and also got a decent cup of chowder that I was now craving.
Since the lunch was filling, we headed to Una at night for a few martinis. Very good drinks and nice happy hour list. We shared a plate of the Rosemary bread to soak up some of the alcohol. From there we hit up Bull Feeny's Pub. We wanted to stay close to the hotel and were just looking for an app and beer. I got some wings which I assumed were going to be buffalo, but instead had a sort of spicy teryaki/ah-so sauce. They were great. There was a guy up singing old irish songs and got the crowd involved. Fun way to end the night.
Next time we are up I would like to try Fore St. I thought the menu looked good, but my girlfriend was in the mood for pub type food and less fish.
