Leading up to my dinner at Hearth this weekend, I had read a lot about people having problems with the portion sizes. I really don't understand this at all. Either people are looking for a ridiculous amount of food or they have made the portions sizes larger. We had several courses and all were more than adequuate. If this has been a factor in your reluctance to go to this restaurant, please give it a try.
BTW- It was a phenomenal experience that more than lived up to expectations. We sat at the kitchen pass and had Marco at our disposal for over two hours. After asking a few questions about the menu, he picked up that I was an avid home chef and we discussed the food, preparation, products, etc in depth.
Funny story- Marco was talking about cookware and went to grab a pot from a high shelf. He assumed it was empty, but it was full of hot soup and he dumped it all over himself. Let's just say the guy who was working that station won't make that mistake again.
