Too beat to cook, we headed over to Caffe Umbra and split a new item on the bargain-priced bar menu, a Cuban sandwich variant. Called a roast pork sandwich, it included roast pork (surprise!), fennel sausage, and arugula on thin white bread, cooked crunchy on a sandwich press. Really, really delicious, served with excellent frites and a fabulous prune mustard (so good we tried to convince the chef/owner to jar and retail it).
A pretty good deal for $14, as it made a nice light meal for two people. I'm glad we split one; had we ordered two, we could not have resisited stuffing ourselves finishing them. Cocktails by Joe the bartender, among the city's best in our view, did not hurt our mood a bit.
