I used to make a pork chop recipe that was in Good Housekeeping magazine about 20 years ago. It was an issue that had either reader or staff favorites in it. I remember that it had pork chops, which you browned. Put those on the bottom of the pan and top with canned tomato sauce and I think brown sugar and vinegar. Top the sauce with lots of sliced onions and lemon slices. I think the dish was than baked, but it may have been cooked on top of the stove. It came out sort of like bbq sauce but better with the fresh lemon and onions. The recipe suggested serving with mashed potatoes, but I always made it with baked. Does anybody have a recipe like this? I am craving this old favorite.
