i've noticed that some have naysayed the new burger joint in Chelsea, POP Burger.
well, i feel it is my duty as a foodie to chime in and say that POP Burger is absolutely, positively scrum-diddly-umptious!
for $5 you get two FLAME-Broiled mini-burgers, served on super soft & delicious mini brioche rolls, with cheese, a light sprinkling of shredded lettuce, and a slice of nice plum tomato, and a special sauce which i think consists of ketchup, mayo & diced up cornichon pickles.
despite as earlier reported by one poster, these burgers are NOT smaller than white castle. they aren't even comparable to white castle's garbage burgers.
the burger itself is at least 2 or 3 times larger than a white castle pattie. probably closer to 3 or 4 times thicker, actually now that i think of it.
these tastey little burgers are flame-broiled to perfection.
i've been eating at POP burger once or twice a week since it opened, and i can't seem to stop going back for more.
i advise to bring your own drink or ask for a water, which they always happily serve me. sodas are a bit pricey at $1.75 a can.
the onion rings are boring and average and the french fries tasted good, but also were nothing too special, and at $2.75 i pretty much steer clear of them.
