"The manager of a celebrity hangout in Union Square was found dead in the restaurant's basement yesterday, his head bashed in with a fire extinguisher and a bloody open safe nearby.

Timothy Moore, 50, put up a ferocious struggle when he was ambushed in his office at the trendy eatery Pop, possibly while collecting the prior night's receipts, police said."

I walk past this place every day and it never occured to me that it might be a restaurant. I always thought it was another cookie-cutter uber-hip mod lounge. Has anyone been? It's kind of macabre in context, but how's the food?
