Does anybody have a polly o container from maybe the 80s or possible even the 90s before Kraft bought them? Did the origional one contain like xanthan or gum or locust bean gum? I understand those are all natural ingredients and its probanly more pure then the no name brand riccotas, but I used to make raviolis with grandma and we always used sorrento or polly o as my grandmother always said those were the best brands to buy (I probably wouldve bought the generic brand being a ravioli lover as my granmothrr and mom discouraged me from buying it when it was not on sale, understandably) and I couldve sworn it only contained milk, salt, whey and vinegar. But I find my homemade riccota, which is made with milk, cream salt and vinegar snd aldo with milk salt and buttermilk, and once with milk, salt, cheese whey and vinegar, and all three version are much better in taste and texture. Also did sorentto contain those additives? I understand its still real cheess and I undrstand its not harmful, but it does not have the great taste of my riccota.
