pollyann ice cream

pandora | Mar 5, 2005 05:52 PM

After many months of anticipation, polly ann ice cream finally opened last week. Trekked down there today to try it out - the lychee ice cream exceeded my expectations - light and fragrant with tiny bits of fruit. The Choco blueberry was a nice rich chocolate, but only had a hint of blueberry flavor. It hadn't set very well so it melted quickly. Pretty long line, but a nice day in the sunset.

As I'm a newcomer to SF, I can't say whether it's changed from the original store, but there was a wheel of flavors to spin. Looking forward to trying the peach brandy and jasmine tea flavors.

It's at 40th/Noriega, and a welcome addition to the outer sunset.
