Polla Rica in Patchogue

I just had lunch with my father-in-law at a tiny strip mall resturant called Polla Rica. Being a New Yorker and comming to the South Shore on weekends I'm always on the look out for great places to eat, this definitely ranks up there with the best. I don't know what kind of food it is exactly (Colombian I would guess judging by the posters on the wall) but the chicken is amazing. I had the "special" platter which consisted of quarter chicken, yellow rice, plantain and beans. The marinade for the chicken was great! The place is spottless and the ladies behind the counter couldn't be more freindly or helpful. I also tried the a fruit shake called "mora" the counter lady wasn't excatly sure what was in it but it had a strawberry flavor-also great. They even gave us complimentary pens as a holiday gift. There's only one table but there is a counter that seats 3-4. It's in the Colortyme Plaza on East Main Street in Patchogue- Worth the trip.
