Polish food in NEPA

Ta-Daa! I've found authentic homemade-style Polish food in NEPA. Try the Skyliner Truck Plaza, exit 37 off the PA turnpike (between W-B and Scranton). Drive back past the Wendy's and don't be afraid to enter the door marked Parts & Accessories! Violet and Elizabeth, recent Polish immigrants, will take care of you. Besides the usual goulash, pierogies, etc. you will find daily specials and $7.99 lunch plates that more than fill you up. The day I went I had white borsch soup (I'd never heard of it and it was delicious, full of sausage) and the special was "Hungarian Pancakes", crepe-like and filled with farmer's cheese. The lunch counter atmosphere not at all detracts from the friendly service and great food. Skyliner Restaurant. 570-655-2804.
