Saturday and Sunday August 29 and 30, the streets surrounding Pointe-à-Callière will be the host of a very popular exterior event : Pointe-à-Callière's 18th-Century Public Market.

Over the course of a single weekend, the public will experience the authentic atmosphere of Montréal's first public market with farmers, craftspeople, and entertainers demonstrating their skills. Discerning gourmets will be delighted to taste goods that are historically authentic: wild fruit jelly, chocolate truffles, maple products, cheeses, lamb sausage, spruce beer and mushrooms. Along with storytellers and musicians, the Market will be host to plenty of other activities, with a military regiments, a Native encampment, and some one hundred historical figures on site.
