Point Loma re-opened in their new building today. Built on the razed site of their old building, the new facility is much larger and more aesthetically pleasing with much more seating. The fresh seafood selection is back to its former level of diversity with lots of shellfish, finned fish, live crustaceans, freshly made sushi, and in-house smoked fish.
It was a little dismaying, however, to see that on their re-opening day the first two items on their daily special board were "grilled chicken sandwich" and "grilled chicken tacos". Here's hoping that PLSF doesn't try to pay off their investment in a new building by straying off the path of being the preferred provider of fresh seafood to Point Loma and much of San Diego.
We have lots of places to get a respectable chicken sandwich around San Diego. Not so much on fresh seafood.
