Poilane bread

I wanted to treat my friends to something freshly baked from Paris and knew I couldn't do that by bringing it home (we were stopping in L.A. for a few days before coming home to Tucson). So I decided to order a loaf of Poilane's wonderful bread to be shipped overnight, to be delivered on Wednesday for a gathering.

The bread was fabulous. It was packaged well, and was fresh and everyone loved it. The loaves are huge, of course, weighing around 4 pounds. Fabulous sourdough taste, velvety crumb and the brick-oven crust that just isn't duplicated here in the States.(At least not that I've found yet!)

Anyway, if anyone is missing that bread, it's yours at for 35.95e...and that includes shipping. It's a splurge, but well worth it, and it will last for days!!
