We were five last night and my husband and I were the only ones who had been there before. We have always ordered a la carte, but because we were a bigger group, and the others had never been there, we ordered the tasting menu. The portions were huge, but as I expected, not as interesting as ordering individual plates. But, that was what we had expected, so no complaints there.
The wine list though was incredibly overpriced. A wine that I know costs anywhere between $19 and $26 was $65 there, for example. The wine list was totally ordinary with nothing but the most popular varieties. When my husband and I go there, we normally have sake to start and then a glass. This is probably a better idea even if the glasses are a bit high too.
